Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for sales and operations support on the regional level which includes site visits, field work, creating job costing, obtaining quotes, building proposals, client job walks and some project management.
This position will report to the Director of Procurement - SE Division.
Responsibilities:
oProvide accurate job costing for account executives(salesforce) in a timely fashionoWork closely with account executives to develop a scope of work for projects-large and smalloVisit parking lots throughout the entire Atlanta area to assess and inventory conditions, take field measurements and create a scope of work.
oTake pictures (with phone) and organize them in support of proposed work to be done.
oCreate site maps, call out repair areas, and create supporting documents and spreadsheets.
oDevelop Pavement Management Plans (PMP) suggesting maintenance action items over a 2-5-year period for a given property.
oAccurately read and interpret blueprints and specifications for the collection of pertinent information and quantity measurements for the bidding process.
oCreate client proposals in estimating software (data entry).
oPrioritize responsibilities, plan your day and manage workload with little supervision.
oDemonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and meet challenges with resourcefulness.
oDemonstrate responsive communication skills.
o Respond in an appropriate time frame to both internal and external customers questions.
o Demonstrate ability to work with different personalities, appreciate differing viewpoints and accept constructive feedback.
oBuild relationships and negotiate with current alliance partners (subcontractors),suppliers and vendors.
o Send out email requests for proposals to alliance partners, track responses and distribute accordingly to account executives or project managers.
oOccasionally attend pre-bid, pre-construction job walks with clients, or other meetings as deemed necessary.
oOccasionally project manage jobs as deemed necessary to include some early mornings, evenings and Saturdays.
oVisit job sites and identify contracted work areas per approved repair map in advance of crew execution at the direction of account executives.
oIndependently pursue training and development opportunities / build knowledge and skills / share expertise.
oBalance team and individual responsibilities / contribute to building a positive team spirit.
oLook for ways to improve processes and promote or improve quality.
oShow respect and sensitivity for cultural differences / promote a harassment-free environment.
oContribute to profits and revenue and uphold organizational core values.
Requirements:
o1 - 2 years' experience in related field or recent college graduateoAbility to work with a laptop computer and phone in a variety of office and field environments.
oWhile this is a full-time position, the workload is seasonally weighted toward the warm weather months.
While Rose Paving believes firmly in work / life balance, early morning start times and/or evening hours and weekend work are sometimes required to meet goals.
oThis job can at times can be physically demanding.
Examples include but are not limited to:
o You must be able to lift 80 lbs.
from the ground o You must be able to bend over to the ground o You must be able to occasionally spend hours at a time on your feet or walking job sites o You will be required to be outside during hot and cold weatheroCompetency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and ExceloCompetency in Adobe Reader, Google Earth and Google MapsoAbility to apply general mathematical concepts.
Travel Requirements:
oThis position requires a great deal of travel in your personal vehicle throughout the Atlanta Metro areaoMust have a valid driver's license.
oMust have a reliable, insured vehicle.
oRose Paving reimburses work related travel and tolls at the Standard Mileage Rate for Deductions.
Commuting mileage and tolls to/from your home and the Rose Paving office location you are assigned to are at your own expense and NOT reimbursed by Rose Paving.
oYou may at times be assigned a company vehicle on a per-project basis.
